Certified Foster Care Agency
The Lions Meadows of Hope is a certified foster care agency with the state of Oklahoma. We are contracted with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) to provide support to foster parents. This public/private partnership allows individuals to choose another option besides being supported by OKDHS. Lions Meadows of Hope foster parents still only serve children in OKDHS custody and still get a reimbursement from OKDHS for the care of the children in their care.
Team Members
Our team helps walk you through the process and stays with you as you journey through fostering. We will meet with you regularly and help you with the process of accepting a child or children that are the best fit for your home. We have seen the consequences of foster parents that were not well supported and how that impacted the foster children in their home. We use our volunteer base to make sure that you have the resources you need to provide the best care for the children in your home.
Years of Experience
We are experts on the “system” so that you don’t have to be. You can focus on loving the children in your home. We will educate, empower, and connect you to the resources you need. Our focus is on limiting placement disruptions so we are dedicated to providing in-home support to help insure the success of the foster children in your care.
At Your Home
As a Lions Meadows of Hope foster family you are able to serve Oklahoma foster children in your own home. We bring our professional staff and trained volunteers to you. You also have access to our campus just south of Perkins where activities are provided that are geared specifically to children who have experienced trauma.
At the Community Campus
For those individuals who want to care for a large sibling group, but don’t have the room in your home, you may want to consider applying to live in one of our foster homes on the Paul and Ann Milburn Foster Community Campus. The extra room, rent-free living, and extra money are nice, but we believe the greatest component of the Lions Meadows of Hope Campus is the fact that your neighbors are foster parents also. They are going through the same challenges you are and they understand your situation. You can form friendships that will develop into true community.
